The Great Blue Hole is a large underwater sinkhole. The hole is circular in shape, over 300 m (984 ft) across and 124 m (407 ft) deep. It is the most popular scuba diving destination in Belize.

    The Great Blue Hole is an underwater sinkhole or vertical cave that formed during the last ice age when the sea level was much lower. When the weather warmed and the sea level rose, the hole was flooded with water.
